Red Dead Redemption 2 player finds ghost we've never seen before

This is scary!

To say, that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a huge game would be an understatement, so it would make sense that there is LoaThere are many secrets that even the most loyal fans have yet to discover.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was released in 2018 and, despite the numbered name, is a prequel to the 2010 game released by Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar Games. Red Dead Redemption 2tells the story of Arthur Morgan, a leading member of the Dutch Van der Linde gang, a group of outlaws introduced to us in the 2010 release.

As we have seen in titles like GTA-VRockstar Games likes to sneak Easter into games that some players will talk about for years to come, such as the heartbreaking story of a dog who regularly visits the grave of his deceased owner. Of course Red Dead Redemption 2 is no exception, offering some of the strangest open world encounters we’ve ever seen.

One of the most popular myths of Red Dead Redemption 2 is the story of the ghost of Agnes Dowd, who sometimes wanders around Bluewater Marsh. This particular encounter was witnessed by players who were in the right place at the right time.

The ghost story at the heart of today’s story, however, is a little more personal. However, fans have speculated whether this particular ghost encounter is an intentional Easter egg by Rockstar Games or a bug.

“I found something creepy in Saint-Denis,” said Reddit user yaesthete, sharing a recorded clip of what appears to be the ghost of a woman. The clip in question shows a shadowy figure carrying Arthur Morgan seemingly trapped in a claustrophobic corridor.

The reason some players believe this seemingly random encounter is a bug and not a ghost is because Arthur Morgan can not only shoot the character, but he also loses honor points in the process. Of course, the whole concept of a ghost is that it’s dead, so it doesn’t make sense that you can shoot it and kill it again.

“Where is it? I’ve played this game for about 1,500 hours and haven’t found it,” said skeptically, to which yaesthete replied: “It’s on one of the balconies near the saloon in Saint-Denis. It’s a bug, but creepy nonetheless!”

However, some believe that this is not a bug, as the shadow design seems to be intentionally designed by Rockstar Games. Some have pointed out that there are ghosts (like

Agnes Dowd) in Red Dead Redemption 2. I guess we’ll never know for sure until Rockstar Games confirms the encounter in some way.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is also backwards compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but unfortunately does not support 60 frames per second.
