Man arrested for possession of a controlled substance

Willow Springs, MO. – On May 3, 2024, 48-year-old Darrel Mohesky was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Illegal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

At 11:30 p.m., a Howell County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on a blue Dodge truck for the brake light being out, and upon approaching the vehicle, he was issued an expired Missouri driver’s license. When stopped, Mohesky became increasingly agitated and refused to exit his vehicle. When reinforcements arrived, Mohesky obeyed and two sharp-edged weapons were taken from him.

Corporal Weaver and K9 Ares conducted an air sniff and were alerted to the presence of narcotics. The vehicle was searched and officers seized a black box containing a digital scale, a glass pipe and a large plastic bag filled with over an ounce of methamphetamine.

Darrel Mohesky was held at the Howell County Detention Center for 24 hours pending a warrant.
