Pedestrian killed in nighttime accident in Prince George’s County

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Maryland (DC News Now) — The Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) responded to the scene of a fatal accident late Friday evening.

At around 11:10 p.m., officers responded to a report of a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Forestville Road. They found a man lying in the roadway.

His death was pronounced at the scene.

The driver of the car involved remained at the scene of the accident to cooperate with investigators, the PGPD said.

On Saturday morning, they were still working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash.
