1 dead after accident at intersection in Ocala, police say

OCALA, Florida. – A person who was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash in Ocala on Friday has since died, police said.

The accident occurred at the intersection of SE 31st Street and SE 19th Avenue and closed SE 19th Avenue in both directions, Ocala police said on social media at 6:33 p.m.

The post was updated at 9:25 p.m. to say the person who was taken to hospital had succumbed to their injuries. Police extend their sincere condolences to the person’s family and friends and all roads have been reopened.
