Man must go to court – NBC Boston

A man accused of shooting another man in broad daylight in Revere, Massachusetts, is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.

The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. Tuesday just outside a Stop & Shop on Squire Road, Revere police said, and the entire shooting was captured on video.

The video shows the shooter’s vehicle parked in the fire department driveway directly in front of the grocery store as the man in the white T-shirt walks toward a driver in a gray hoodie.

There appears to be a tense exchange between the two men before the man in the hoodie pulls out a gun and shoots the other man in the stomach.

As the victim runs away, the shooter appears to put the gun back in his waistband and get back into his vehicle.

Investigators say the man who was shot was taken to the hospital. His condition is unknown.

One witness said he was incredulous at the violence that was taking place just a few meters away from him and other shoppers.

“The big guy is running down the fire driveway in the Stop and Shop parking lot and I assume he got shot because he was holding his stomach,” he said. “For me, it’s safe to go to the grocery store every day. I always charge my car, but today it’s just a little scary.”

The person in custody for the shooting is expected to be arraigned sometime Wednesday in Chelsea District Court.

Police have not released any further details at this time, including the name of the victim or the person arrested.
