Mumbai: Actress Mona Singh, who is currently promoting her upcoming horror-comedy film ‘Munjya’, recounted a scary encounter she had on her way home in Pune.

The actress recounted the incident from her time in Pune.

“One night, while I was returning home on my scooter, I was crossing the Bund Garden Bridge, a famous place in Pune. At the beginning of the bridge, a girl asked me for a ride.

Since I don’t like giving a stranger a ride at night, I continued driving. To my surprise, the same person appeared at the other end of the bridge and asked for a ride again. It was a scary experience.”

The actress also spoke about her belief in black magic.

“I believe in the existence of negative and positive energies. There are people who practice black magic, as evidenced by sightings of lemons, chilies and dolls on the streets.

To avoid unnecessary risks, it is best not to engage in these practices.”

Mona also spoke about her role in ‘Munjya’, where she plays the character of Pammi.
“I play the role of Pammi in the film.

Abhay plays Bittu, my son, and I am his mother, who is quite strict and possessive towards him. Our journey together is full of twists and turns. There is a lot of drama and chaos.

My role in the film is a lot of fun, a bit loud and aggressive, and it’s hardcore comedy, something I’ve never tried before.”

Starring Sharvari, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma and Sathyaraj in lead roles, the film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar revolves around ‘Munjya’, a deep-rooted myth from the world of Indian belief and cultural system.

Recently, the makers released the teaser. The teaser introduces the audience to Munjya, a CG character, in a remote forest.

The film is scheduled to be released on June 7th.
