Child pornography investigation leads to arrest for drug offense

A man was arrested for growing marijuana after state investigators investigating child pornography offenses found marijuana plants in a Harvey Drive home, police said. As part of a multi-jurisdictional investigation, Georgia Bureau of Investigation investigators searched the home Wednesday, Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said. When investigators discovered the plants, they called the Statesboro Police Department’s Crime Suppression Unit, he said.
