Silver Alert issued for missing Hancock County man

Police have issued a Silver Alert for a missing Surry man.

Police say 84-year-old Franklin McCormick suffers from dementia and went missing from his home on Toddy Pond Road on Monday. McCormick is 1.77 meters tall, weighs 75 kilograms, has brown hair and green eyes.

Police believe he may be driving a Toyota RAV-4 with Maine license plate 9563KH.

He may be wearing jeans and a dark shirt.

Police believe McCormick may be on his way to West Virginia.
