‘Fake news alert’: Rudy Giuliani denies reports that the indictment has ‘interrupted’ his party

Rudy Giuliani on Saturday lashed out at news outlets that reported that an indictment ruined his 80th birthday party.

Giuliani, formerly known as the mayor of New York City but now better known for his association with Donald Trump and his subsequent impeachment, has been indicted in a “fake voter” case out of Arizona. It was reported that “partygoers started screaming” after the ex-prosecutor was formally served with an indictment on Friday evening for alleged interference in the 2020 presidential election in Arizona.

“Officers from Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes’ office served Giuliani in front of nearly 100 guests at his 80th birthday party in the Palm Beach, Florida area,” a report said.

Giuliani wasn’t having it. In addition to demanding corrections from the media that reported his accusation was made in the middle of the party, he also spoke out on social media.

“FAKE NEWS ALERT: Contrary to reports from journalists who were not there, our early 80th birthday celebration was not ‘ruined’ or interrupted,” he said.

“It was an incredible night with friends including Steve Bannon and Roger Stone,” the lawyer added. “It felt like a strategy session on how to save America!”

He also included some pictures from the party.
