Purple Alert has been issued for a man who was last seen in Lakeland on Saturday

A Florida Purple Missing Person Alert has been issued for Duane Custer, 47, of Lakeland.

Custer is believed to be driving a white 2020 GMC Acadia with Florida license plate BB56II, the Lakeland Police Department reported. According to LPD, he was last seen on May 11 at 5:43 p.m. in the 3000 block of Covington Lane in Lakeland.

His vehicle was last seen at the Lowe’s store at 2800 West Sand Lake Road in the Orlando area at 1 p.m. Monday.

According to LPD, Custer is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs approximately 285 pounds. He is bald and has brown eyes. He was last known to be wearing a black shirt, black shorts with white stripes and green/black shoes.

Florida’s Purple Alert is issued for a missing adult with a mental or cognitive disability (other than dementia), an intellectual or developmental disability, a brain injury, or other physical, mental, or emotional disability not related to substance abuse or a combination thereof. The person’s disappearance is deemed to pose a credible threat of imminent danger or serious bodily harm
