Police: A Woodbridge man pulled a gun on a mother and daughter during a road rage incident

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Virginia (DC News now) – The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said it arrested a man Wednesday for pointing a gun at a mother and her child during a road rage incident.

Officers responded to the area of ​​Richmond Highway near Celestial Drive in Woodbridge just before 4:45 p.m. A 32-year-old woman said she was with her 5-year-old daughter when they got into a traffic accident with another driver.

During the collision, 73-year-old Edwin Dale Sims pulled out a gun and pointed it at her car, according to police.

No shots were fired.

Dale was arrested later that day and charged with two counts of brandishing a firearm. He was being held on a $1,000 bond.
