TONIGHT:

A weather warning day remains in effect for this afternoon and this evening. Showers and thunderstorms will increase this afternoon as they move into and through Middle Tennessee. Some storms could produce hail and/or damaging wind gusts. Storms will not move very quickly. Therefore, be aware of puddling and brief flooding in areas with poor drainage. Storms are possible near the Tennessee River between 1 and 2 p.m. The storm will move across the I-65 corridor between 4 and 6 p.m. Storms will reach the Cumberland Plateau around 8 p.m. this evening. By 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. the chance of a severe storm will pass across Mid State and Southern Kentucky.

WEDNESDAY – SATURDAY:

Wednesday will bring clouds and persistent showers. High, 76.

After there was some morning fog on Thursday, the clouds cleared during the afternoon. It’s getting much warmer and staying just as humid. High, 83.

Showers and thunderstorms will occur again on Friday afternoon and continue until Friday night.

There will be scattered rain even in the first half of Saturday. Some communities will see some sunshine Saturday afternoon.

Highs on Friday will be in the 70s. The brightest communities are likely to see low 80s Saturday afternoon.

SUNDAY AND BEYOND:

Next Sunday our weather will finally start to dry out. Sunday looks partly sunny and noticeably warmer. High, 85.

Partly cloudy and even hotter weather is forecast for Monday and Tuesday next week.
