Man arrested and accused of stealing mobile home in Miami County – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

MIAMI COUNTY – A man was arrested after he was accused of stealing a mobile home in Miami County.

According to the sheriff’s spokesman, Miami County sheriff’s deputies responded to a theft report last fall involving a 24-foot-long enclosed mobile home in Union Township.

Evidence found at the business break-in and trailer identified one of the suspects as Elijah Peeling, 32, of Beavercreek.

The trailer was later found disabled and abandoned.

He was arrested and booked into the Miami County Jail on burglary and theft charges, the sheriff’s office said.

Additional charges are being filed against another suspect.

Deputies said there has been a recent increase in trailer thefts in southern Miami County.

They encourage all trailers to secure all trailers and use exterior lighting to prevent thefts.

Patrols in the affected areas have also increased.
