Suspect in Parke County Home Burglary Arrested | News

MARION COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) – The suspect in a Parke County home invasion has been arrested in central Indiana.

The Parke County Sheriff’s Office said Jayden Smith, 19, of Indianapolis was arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office early Saturday morning.

Smith was identified as a suspect in an April 24 burglary at a home west of Bloomingdale, Indiana.

Smith allegedly forced his way into the victim’s home and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police also believe he stole a 2014 Nissan Juke from Montezuma. The victim, a 67-year-old man, was flown to an Indianapolis hospital. He has since been released.

Smith was arrested on warrants for armed robbery, burglary and auto theft. He is currently in the Marion County Jail awaiting transfer to Parke County.
