5 Buffalo Bills whose stocks soared during the 2024 offseason

The Buffalo Bills would release former first-round pick Tre’Davious White this offseason and would also see Dane Jackson sign with the Carolina Panthers in free agency. This now paves the way for Christian Benford and Rasul Douglas to become the starting cornerbacks for the upcoming season.

Since the Bills drafted Benford in the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he has had to fight for his spot on the depth chart during training camp. However, each of the last two years he left training camp and started the season as the starter. Last season was Benford’s best with two interceptions, two forced fumbles and 10 passes defended (all of which were career highs).

This training camp will be different as he is expected to be the favorite and barring a drastic improvement from Kaiir Elam, Benford will have that spot locked down. The fact that the Bills haven’t added veterans or used a high-profile pick at the position is a testament to the confidence the coaching staff has in Benford.
