Cooperstown man arrested for suspected meth possession

BETHLEHEM, NY (NEWS10)– The Albany County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Cooperstown man for suspected drug possession during a traffic stop on Sunday, July 21. Officers said 34-year-old Matthew Tracy was charged with third-degree and seventh-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

According to officers, Tracy was stopped for a traffic violation on River Road in Bethlehem. Officers said not only did they find drug paraphernalia in plain sight, but Tracy was also driving with a license that had been suspended eight times on three different days.

Officers added that Tracy had glass pipes and approximately 13.35 grams of methamphetamine in his car. After his arrest, Tracy was arraigned in Bethlehem Municipal Court.
