13-year-old girl from Azle found unharmed after Amber alert in Texas, police said

Authorities have lifted an Amber Alert in Texas after a 13-year-old girl who they say was abducted from Azle on Wednesday night was found safe and sound on Thursday afternoon.

The teenager “has been found and is safe,” Azle police said in a social media post. “The investigation is ongoing. Thank you for your continued support.”

When the alert was issued Thursday morning, police believed the girl had been abducted by someone in a white van with two small windows in the back and a medium-sized window on the side.

Authorities did not release the license plate number, make or model, but said the van was from Texas.

No description of the suspect has been released.

According to the Amber Alert, the missing girl was in the 1000 block of Boyd Road in Azle when she was last seen around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.

The police assumed that she was in great or immediate danger.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Azle Police at 817-444-3221.
