Ryan Reynolds opened up about whether or not he was involved in the release of Deadpool’s test footage in 2014. When Deadpool & Wolverine hit theaters on July 26, the actor talked about the famous scene involving Merc and the Mouth that was secretly uploaded to the Internet 10 years ago.

While fans were excited about the leaked footage, audiences suspected that the actor may have been involved in posting the film clips online. Reynolds, who appeared on the talk show, was hooked up to the lie detector and questioned about the incident.

Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman also joined the “IF” actor on the show and laughed at the staging while asking him not to lie as he was hooked up to a lie detector test machine.

What did Ryan Reynolds say about the Deadpool footage leak?

While hooked up to the lie detector test, Reynolds was asked if he was involved in the incident that resulted in leaked footage in 2014. The Marvel actor revealed: “That’s a great question. That’s a great question. Pass.”

Jackman laughed at Reynolds’ answer and reminded him that he was taking the polygraph test and couldn’t lie. The “Proposal” actor said, “And if I wanted to break out of this room and destroy everything in my way, I would.” He added, “I would say that I… what was the question again?”

The Green Lantern actor confessed, “I mean, I may have helped.” When the actor explained that he faked the leak, the talk show host confirmed that Reynolds was telling the truth. The actor continued, “I was Scottie Pippen. I was just there doing my job, and someone else is getting all the credit.”

Deadpool & Wolverine have been making headlines for Hollywood actors making cameo appearances in the film. Initially, reports suggested that Henry Cavill and Chris Evans would join the film for prominent scenes, while rumors suggested Taylor Swift would play the role of Lady Deadpool.

However, Ryan Reynolds confirmed that Swift would not appear in the Marvel film. In an earlier interview, the actor also revealed that the film was originally supposed to be shot under a false title to prank the audience; however, the plan was scrapped by the makers.
