Teenagers attacked dating app user in Rochester restaurant

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) – Rochester Police say five teenagers could face charges related to attempted solicitation of minors.

According to communications coordinator Amanda Grayson, the incident that led to the fee demand occurred on Friday evening around 7:30 p.m.

Police responded to a report of disorderly conduct and assault and were dispatched to the McDonald’s restaurant on 2nd Street in southwest Rochester.

Teens who attempted to solicit minors are accused of attacking a dating app user at McDonald’s in Rochester

Grayson says the victim, a 30-year-old man, told police he had messaged what he believed to be an adult user of a dating app and planned to meet her at a restaurant.

The man told police he said he was not interested after the user told him she was 15 years old, police said.

Grayson says the man reported being met by a group of people on his way from the restaurant to his car. He said the group verbally abused him, threw objects at him and yelled at him.

According to the police report, the group had exchanged messages with the man and planned to confront him.
Grayson says the group of five teenagers aged between 15 and 18 could They face several charges, including assault and disorderly conduct.
