James Comer announces investigation into Trump assassinations and will summon Secret Service for hearing

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer announced that his panel would launch an investigation into the shooting of former President Donald Trump.

Comer announced that he had already contacted the Secret Service to arrange a hearing on the assassination attempt on the former president, which is being investigated by authorities.

“I have already asked the Secret Service for a meeting and am also requesting that Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle appear at a hearing. The Oversight Committee will send a formal invitation shortly,” Comer said in a statement.
