Patrick Beverley was suspended for hitting a fan with a basketball and confronting a reporter in the NBA playoffs

Patrick Beverley has always been a nuisance on the basketball court. In the 2024 NBA Playoffs, it was Beverley’s actions off the court that earned him a four-game suspension to start the next season.

Beverley was suspended for the first four games of the 2024-2025 NBA season for two incidents during the Milwaukee Bucks’ loss to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs. First, Beverley threw a ball into the crowd and hit a woman in the face. After the loss, Beverley told a reporter He wouldn’t answer her question unless she subscribed to his podcast.

Here is the NBA press release:

Beverley is a free agent this summer, meaning whichever team signs him will do so with the acknowledgment that he will miss the first four games of next season.

It is the second time that Beverley has had to serve a suspension at the start of the season. Beverley was also suspended at the start of the new year after backing Chris Paul during the 2022 NBA Playoffs.

Beverley apologized to both the fan and the reporter after the game. Now he has a little more time to think about his actions.
