1 dead in traffic accident in southwest Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – One person was killed in an accident in southwest Indy on Friday evening.

According to an IMPD press release, officers responded to a possible fatal traffic accident in the 4000 block of Kentucky Avenue near South Lynhurst Drive at around 5:19 p.m. on July 12.

Paramedics took a victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but approximately four hours later, IMPD announced the victim had succumbed to his injuries. IMPD’s fatal accident team will investigate the incident.
