2 Poughkeepsie residents arrested for armed robbery

Two Poughkeepsie residents were arrested Thursday for allegedly robbing a person at knifepoint, police said.

Ashley Rizzo and Keith Woodin were arrested after police responded to a report of an armed robbery on Main Street. The victim told police they were robbed at knifepoint and provided descriptions of the suspects.

Police were able to locate and arrest Rizzo and Woodin based on their descriptions.

Rizzo was charged with second-degree robbery. Woodin was charged with second-degree robbery, menacing and illegal possession of a weapon.

Both suspects are being held in the Dutchess County Jail.
