NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Another nice end to the weekend with plenty of sunshine and lower humidity, but as the week progresses the mugginess will return along with some rain showers.

Today will be another beautiful day with lower humidity and dry, sunny weather. Maximum temperatures will be a little warmer than yesterday at around 35 degrees, but this afternoon it will feel more like over 35 degrees at times.

Heat returns on Monday as humidity increases throughout the day. Highs will be around 35 degrees, but heat index values, or “feels like” temperatures, will be around 38 degrees or higher during the afternoon hours. There is also a slight chance of rain.

Rain chances increase Tuesday and Wednesday due to leftover moisture from Hurricane Beryl. After it hits the Texas coast, it will move back toward Tennessee as a tropical depression, increasing rain chances locally. We’re not expecting too much precipitation though…about 1.5 to 1.8 inches of rain is expected. We could see a few isolated thunderstorms with this system, but I’m not too worried about severe weather. Some storms could produce gusty winds.

The probability of rain will increase later this week.

The rain will cool us down and keep the humidity in check. Highs on Wednesday will only be around 30 degrees Celsius, with lows around 18 degrees Celsius.

It will be dry until Thursday and will remain dry and sunny until Friday and the weekend. Temperatures will remain at just over 35 degrees, as is appropriate for the time of year, until we climb back to just over 35 degrees at the weekend.
