WANTED: Mexican accused of repeatedly raping a child

EL PASO, Texas (Border Report) – Texas police are asking for the public’s help in locating a wanted Mexican national accused of repeatedly raping a child and possibly attempting to flee the country.

Irving Police have issued an arrest warrant for 42-year-old Rigoberto Santos Torres, a Mexican native who is currently in the United States illegally. His last known address was in Irving.


Police believe Santos Torres is on his way to Mexico, adding that he boarded a bus in Dallas on Wednesday morning.

Santos Torres is wanted on suspicion of “continued sexual abuse of a young child.”

Irving police said it was not known which bus service he used, but his family said he had used Turimex and Tornado charter buses in the past.

Santos Torres is 5’5″ tall and weighs 175 pounds. Police also said he has a Mexican passport and is likely on his way to “San Luis, Mexico.”

According to NewsNation, Santos Torres first entered the United States illegally on January 25, 2018, and was subsequently deported. He attempted to enter the United States again on December 27, 2020, but was deported under Title 42. However, after 2020, he again entered the United States undetected.
