Port Arthur police investigate deaths of two men

PORT ARTHUR, Texas – Port Arthur police are investigating the deaths of two men early Thursday morning.

According to Port Arthur Police Chief Tim Duriso, police were dispatched to the scene around 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

Two men died in the incident, Duriso confirmed.

Witnesses told a 12News team on the scene that they heard gunshots at that time.

Port Arthur detectives were on scene in the 500 block of 6th Street for several hours.

Police have not released any further information.

The names of the victims will not be released until their immediate families have been notified.
