3 injured after hit-and-run car accident on Highway 10 in Calimesa

CALIMESA, CA (July 3, 2024) – Three people were injured in a multi-car hit-and-run crash on the 10 Freeway near Sandalwood Drive.

The multi-vehicle collision occurred on Tuesday at around 12:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver crashed into four vehicles on the 10 East Freeway at an unknown speed. Instead of stopping and pulling over, the driver of the red truck fled in the direction of Palm Springs, leaving the occupants of the two sedans and the van with minor to serious injuries.

Shortly thereafter, paramedics from the Riverside County Fire Department arrived and tended to the injured. Meanwhile, California Highway Patrol officers investigated the scene of the accident to find out details about the vehicle and driver involved.
