Police search for suspect in attempted rape in Canoga Park; sketch released

CANOGA PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — The Los Angeles Police Department is asking the public for help in providing information about a man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault a woman in Canoga Park.

The incident occurred on Sunday, June 23, around 10:30 p.m.

According to police, a 24-year-old woman was walking west on Roscoe Boulevard from Owensmouth Avenue when the man attempted to sexually assault her.

Surveillance videos released by police on Friday show that the suspect followed the woman for several minutes.

Police also released a sketch of the suspect. He is reportedly between 25 and 30 years old and has black hair and brown eyes.

He is approximately 6’1″ tall and weighs 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, an orange and blue long-sleeved flannel shirt, and dark blue pants.
