FAA imposes temporary flight restrictions in parts of Atlanta

The Federal Aviation Administration has implemented temporary flight restrictions in parts of the Atlanta area, citing “VIP movement” as the reason.

Temporary flight restrictions are in effect from 1:45 p.m. Thursday to 1:45 a.m. Friday.

These restrictions mean that no pilot can operate an aircraft in these areas except those who are specially authorized to do so. The FAA issues such restrictions for a variety of reasons, including presidential travel, travel of other VIPs, natural disasters, and emergency situations.
