Learn more about Lenawee Alerts, a local emergency alert system

Adrian, Michigan – Lenawee Alerts has been activated several times over the past week as severe weather has moved through the area. The emergency alert system is offered free of charge by the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security and the Lenawee County Office of Emergency Management.

The severe weather warnings and high-velocity alerts to the public are automatically delivered via email, text message and/or phone call. Lenawee County’s emergency management coordinator told WLEN News that during severe weather, the system sends alerts when the storm is in your path.

As the storm approaches Addison, people signed up for the alerts in the Addison area will receive the message, but Blissfield residents will not. To sign up for Lenawee alerts, go online to lenaweealerts.com.
