ATLANTAAtlanta police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Glenrose Heights neighborhood.

Sunday, police were called to the scene of a person shot near 56 Baker Drive SW.

When they arrived at 3:33 p.m., they found two victims: a man and a woman.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Police tell FOX 5 the suspected shooter and his girlfriend came to the home to confront a man who allegedly fought with the alleged shooter’s mother earlier in the day.

Commander Andrew Smith said the owner was not involved.

Although no one is in custody yet, Smith said police plan to question the suspected shooter.

“This person is on his way to headquarters to give us a statement,” Smith said.

After meeting with investigators, the victim’s mother was overcome with grief. The police called paramedics to attend to her.

The Homicide Unit is continuing this investigation. Neither the victims nor the suspects have yet been identified.
