Man arrested after shooting in Pittsylvania County

PITTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A man was arrested following a shooting in Pittsylvania County, according to the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.

The Pittsylvania County and Henry County Sheriff’s Offices responded to reports of a shooting on Saturday, June 22nd at 2:41 p.m. at 2838 Sandy River Road in Axton, VA.

Officers found three victims with gunshot wounds. Officers said the victims were flown to the hospital for treatment.

Telvin Hairston, 31, of Martinsville was arrested and charges are pending.

The incident remains under investigation.
