Father of 13-year-old girl raped in Queens park criticizes Biden’s open border for monstrous attack

President Biden’s disastrous open borders policy is to blame for the brutal rape of a 13-year-old girl in a Queens park, her distraught father told The Post.

A week after his daughter was allegedly raped by Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, an illegal immigrant from Ecuador, the father made the accusation: “This is what happens” when undocumented immigrants are allowed to enter the United States unhindered.

“I never agreed with the open border policy because it leads to a lot of things we don’t need,” said the 70-year-old father, whose name was not used by the Post to protect his daughter’s identity. “And look what came in. Look what happened to my daughter.”

Inga-Landi, 25, who crossed the Texas border in 2021 and was ordered to leave the country by a New York immigration judge last February, was arrested Tuesday. She is accused of dragging the girl and a teenager into a wooded area in Kessina Park at knifepoint on June 13, tying them up and gagging them, and raping the girl in broad daylight.

The father said the family had been “through hell” since the vicious attack.

“It just turned my world upside down and the healing process hasn’t started yet… My head is spinning right now with all the anger I feel inside me,” he said Thursday in a phone call from the family’s home in Flushing.

When asked about his daughter’s condition, he simply replied: “You can’t even imagine. So let’s leave it at that.”

The arrest of Inga-Landi after five days on the run was “definitely a relief,” said her father.

“It’s obviously devastating for our family, but with the guy in the situation he’s in now, it’s great because we can move on and focus on something else,” he said.

The father praised the Good Samaritans who overpowered the suspect and detained him for the police.

“I would have done the same thing if it had been someone else’s child… I would have done it without hesitation,” he said.

“You don’t need someone like that running around, driving around, riding his bike around, looking for places to prey.”

Things would have been even worse for Inga-Landi if the girl’s father had caught him too – despite his age.

“Especially when you have a child who has been brutally abused, my instinct is: . . Thank God I didn’t see that guy,” the father said.

Inga-Landi – who already had an immigration offense pending – made a shocking admission at his arraignment on Wednesday that he had recorded the attack.

A judge ordered him detained without bail. He is accused of rape, sexual assault, kidnapping and a number of other crimes.

According to sources and a police report from January, Inga-Landi had previously been violent towards women.

On January 1, 2024, he had a custody battle with his ex-wife over their children, police sources said. He was dropping off the couple’s two children at the 24-year-old woman’s apartment in Queens when Inga-Landi tried to confront her new boyfriend.

He disappeared after police were called. The woman told police that Inga-Landi beat her when she was pregnant and she feared for the safety of her children in his presence, the sources said.
