Floyd Mayweather and Lil Uzi Vert sued over alleged NYC assault

TMZ reports that a man named Abdullah Ali is suing rapper Lil Uzi Vert, boxing legend Floyd Mayweather, and several members of Mayweather’s money team for allegedly being involved in an attack on him last summer. Yuck.

Get this: According to the lawsuit filed in New York on Thursday, Ali claims he was attacked by members of Mayweather’s TMT team and Lil Uzi on June 27, 2023, after trying to catch a glimpse of a Mayweather trailer near a New York hotel.

Ali’s attorneys Matthew Blit and Michael Rose told TMZ Sports that Ali was filming the unloading of a Rolls-Royce from the trailer when he was noticed by members of Uzi and TMT and aggressively told to stop.

That sounds devastating if it’s true… After a verbal altercation, the situation escalated into violence. Lawyers claim Ali was subjected to a barrage of punches and kicks that knocked him to the ground, with at least ten men, including Lil Uzi, taking turns attacking him for over a minute.

Uzi’s team defends itself by arguing that he wasn’t there and I wasn’t there. The rapper’s representatives from “XO Tour Life” deny his involvement and state: “Lil Uzi Vert does not know Floyd Mayweather and has no connection to Mayweather’s money team and was not at the scene of the alleged incident.”

It remains unclear whether Mayweather himself was present at the altercation. Ali’s lawyers report that Ali suffered injuries, including knocked out teeth, and had to be treated in hospital. Ali is suing for unspecified damages.
