Man dies in road traffic aggression

Police are searching for a driver following a fatal attack due to aggression behind the wheel.

Emergency services rushed to Jersey Road in Blackett in Sydney’s outer west after reports emerged on Thursday morning that a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

“Officers from the Mount Druitt Police Area Command arrived to find that a 27-year-old man had been struck by a utility vehicle before it disappeared from the scene,” police said.

“The 27-year-old, who was wearing high-visibility clothing, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died at the scene.”

“The police have secured a crime scene and detectives have begun investigating the incident.

“While investigations continue, police are hoping to speak to the utility driver who was seen in the area at the time of the incident.

“The vehicle is described as a white commercial truck with a metal tub, a black top and a black toolbox with metal racks on it.”

The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m.

Police are urging anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV images or information relating to the accident to call Mt Druitt Police or Crime Stoppers.
