Every woman I know has been flashed, groped or sexually harassed

Keira Knightley has said that she “literally” doesn’t know anyone who hasn’t been sexually harassed in one way or another.

In an interview with the Harper’s Bazaar The 36-year-old British actor told the magazine that the situation was “bloody depressing.”

“I literally don’t know anyone who hasn’t had this happen to them at some point. Whether it’s been flashed at, or groped, or someone saying they were going to slit their throat, or being punched in the face, or whatever. It’s happened to everyone,” she said.

“When women started listing all the precautions they take on the way home to keep themselves safe, I thought, ‘I take every single one of those precautions and don’t even think about it,'” she added.

The actress was talking about how having children has changed her professional life when she made these comments in an interview with Financial Times.

“The nipples are saggy,” she said. “When I was younger, I was always completely comfortable with them. I’ve never done anything that I didn’t feel comfortable with. I’m really happy with my body. It’s done something amazing. But I also don’t want to stand there in front of a whole film crew.”

“It used to be that you would shoot a sex scene in isolation from the film and it would make sense. And maybe a sleazy newspaper would put it somewhere, but ultimately that was it. But now you can take the whole thing and put it in something completely different and it’s on some porn site,” she added.

Knightley also told the Chanel connects Podcast, loud metro: “I don’t want it to be those horrible sex scenes where you’re all greased up and everyone’s grunting. I’m not interested in that.”

“I feel very uncomfortable now trying to portray the male gaze. But there are still moments when I say, ‘Yeah, I totally understand that this sex would be really good in this movie and you basically just need someone who looks hot.'”
