EU police seize several illegal drugs during arrest

ELIZABETH CITY, NC (WAVY) – Elizabeth City Police seized several illegal narcotics after a man was arrested Thursday afternoon.

According to authorities, 21-year-old Kai Blake Dail was arrested by officers at 12:40 p.m. on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear out of Pasquotank County.

During the arrest, officers seized the following from Dail:

• 15.9 grams of suspected fentanyl
• 11.5 grams of suspected cocaine
• 5.4 grams of suspected crack cocaine
• 69 tablets containing suspected oxycodone
• One ounce of marijuana
• Digital scales and packaging materials
• $1,346

Officers charged Dail with three counts of trafficking heroin, two counts of possession with intent to sell and distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to sell and distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dali is currently being held without bail in the Albemarle District Jail. His next court date is scheduled for June 17.
