TRAFFIC ALERT: Accident leads to road closure in Tazewell County

TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. (WMBD) – The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office closed a portion of Townline Road south of Tremont on Thursday.

According to a post from the sheriff’s office, Townline Road was closed between Miller Road and Ropp Road due to an accident.

Everyone is asked to find an alternative route at this time. The cause of the accident is currently unknown.

The sheriff’s office is expected to send updates once the road reopens.
