Woman allegedly raped by man met her through marriage app

LAHORE – A woman was allegedly attacked by a doctor she met through a marriage app in Lahore, police said Thursday.

The victim told police that she met the doctor through the app.

“The incident took place within the premises of Nawab Town police station,” police said, adding that the FIR was registered based on the victim’s complaint and raids were being conducted to arrest the suspect.

Police said the suspect was a doctor who called the girl at the local hospital cafe and then forcibly took her somewhere and sexually abused her.

According to police, the victim received medical treatment at a local hospital.
