Four MBBS students in Himachal Pradesh suspended for harassing 11th standard students | Shimla News

KULLU: Four final year MBBS students of Rajendra Prasad Govt Medical College and Hospital, better known as Tanda Medical College, in Kangra district of Himachal state, India, have been suspended from classes and fined up to Rs 100,000 for allegedly bullying their junior students.

According to a college official, nine junior students were beaten up by the accused after they called them to their hostel in the evening. It is alleged that the junior students were beaten and their clothes torn during the hazing.

The affected students complained about the incident to the National Medical Commission. After an investigation, the college’s anti-ragging committee decided to suspend the accused students of the batches of 2019 and 2022.

Two final year students were fined Rs 100,000 each and suspended for one year. The other two students were fined Rs 50,000 each and suspended for six months.
