Off-duty Mobile Police officer reportedly shot on Monday evening

MOBILE, Alabama (WKRG) – An off-duty Mobile Police officer in plain clothes was shot at a local apartment complex Monday evening, according to police.

According to an MPD press release, officers were called to the Woodside Apartments, 5089 Government Blvd., around 9:25 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

LOCATION OF INCIDENT:

When they arrived, officers found the officer entering the complex when someone in a vehicle fired shots in his direction, the report said.

Police said no one was injured and the incident is currently under active investigation.
