GoFundMe set up for 10-year-old found dead in car

The Mt. Lebanon Fire Department has launched a GoFundMe campaign for a 10-year-old girl who was found dead in a car with her mother over the weekend. Authorities found 10-year-old Abigail Neal and her mother, 43-year-old Serena Guan, dead in a car in South Park on Friday. Investigators say there were no obvious signs of trauma. The GoFundMe campaign states, “The Mt. Lebanon Fire Department is devastated by the recent loss of family members of one of our own members, Firefighter Chris Neal. At the same time, the Mt. Lebanon School District mourns the loss of Abigail Neal, a sweet and bright student who brought joy to all she knew at Howe Elementary School.” Donations to the GoFundMe campaign will help pay for funeral and other related expenses. The statement reads, in part, “(Abigail) brought joy and a sense of camaraderie to every class and activity she participated in. Abigail leaves an indelible mark on our hearts and minds, and her memory will live on and continue to inspire us all. She touched the lives of many, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who were privileged to know her. Our thoughts are with the student’s family, friends and teachers as our school community copes with this terrible loss.” A coroner has not released a cause or manner of death.
