The report of a theft brought the police to Loring Avenue at 5:45 p.m.

Thursday

A disturbance at a liquor bar brought officers to Sidelines Sports Bar & Grill, 105 Canal St., at 1:06 a.m.

Police responded to the intersection of Bridge Street and Salem Bypass Roadway at 1:19 a.m. for a one-car crash that involved airbag deployment and possible injuries. After an investigation, they arrested the driver, a 20-year-old Chelsea man. He was charged with possession of alcohol while under 21, violation of lane markings, driving without a license, speeding, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and possession of an open container in a motor vehicle.

At 6:28 a.m., officers were dispatched to Canal Street for a disturbance.

A case of vandalism or malicious damage to property brought officers to Orange Street at 7:07 a.m.

The report of a previous burglary brought police to Broadway at 7:25 a.m.

At 7:49 a.m. police were called to Lawrence Street to investigate a theft.

At 9:11 a.m., police were dispatched to Broadway to speak with a person who reported harassment.

At 12:22 p.m., police were dispatched to Orchard Street to investigate a theft.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., police arrested a 30-year-old Hanover woman near Shaw’s Plaza, 11 Trader’s Way, and charged her with possession of Class A and E drugs. She was also arrested on an outstanding warrant.

At 1:55 p.m., a person called police from an address on Essex Street to report the theft of a motor vehicle or license plate.

At 3:57 p.m. police were called to an address on Cherry Street to report a theft.

Beverly

Wednesday

A resident of McPherson Drive notified police at 7:32 p.m. of youths causing a disturbance. However, they left the area in their vehicle before police arrived.

At 8:09 a.m., officers were dispatched to the area near Beckford Street and Cabot Street for a report of a man striking cars in traffic, but the man had disappeared.

Thursday

At 1:51 a.m., police were dispatched to the dock adjacent to the Congress Street tracks to locate individuals engaging in suspicious activity. Officers spoke with the individuals, who said they were fishing. No abnormalities were observed.

Police were dispatched to Dane Street Beach at Lothrop Street at approximately 8:45 a.m. and issued two citations for violation of the Animal Welfare Code for dogs on beaches and in parks under City Ordinance Chapter 117, Sections 10 and 13. Written warnings were issued.

At 11:17 a.m., police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Clifton Avenue and County Way and summoned a 36-year-old Salem woman to court on charges of operating a motor vehicle without a license, failure to wear a seat belt, and using an electronic device while driving (first offense).

Enterprise Car Rentals notified police at 12:11 p.m. that one of their vehicles had been stolen. The incident was registered with the NCIC.

At 1:58 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Elliott Street and summoned the driver, a 53-year-old Lynn man, to court for driving without a license.

Peabody

Thursday

Turnpike Car Wash, 80 Newbury St., reported a hit-and-run accident to police at 12:25 p.m. – a vehicle struck a vacuum cleaner and fled without notifying staff.

At 12:32 a.m., an officer saw a person in hospital scrubs walking down Main Street. The man was OK and was sent away.

At 1:23 p.m., an ambulance was dispatched to D&R Market, 54 Foster St., after a person became unconscious. He was taken to Salem Hospital.

Police were dispatched to the vicinity of Spring Hill Suites, 43 Newbury St., at 2:36 p.m. for a one-car crash involving a city-owned vehicle. A vehicle was towed and the driver was cited for failure to stop for an emergency vehicle.

At 3:49 p.m., police stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Summit Street and Centennial Drive and cited the male driver, a West Yarmouth resident, for operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. The vehicle was towed.

At 4:53 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Caller Street after a caller reported two people sleeping in a parking lot. The caller was unsure if they were under the influence of alcohol and did not feel comfortable approaching them. The officer sent the two away.

Police were dispatched to Kappy’s Liquor, 175 Andover St., because a man was being rude and harassing other customers. An officer spoke with the 33-year-old Seabrook, New Hampshire, man and arrested him for disturbing the peace.

A caller notified police at 9:50 p.m. that a vehicle had struck a utility pole at the intersection of Lowell and King Streets and the driver had sustained a chest injury. He was taken to Beverly Hospital and his wife took charge of the vehicle.

Friday

At 2:55 p.m., officers were dispatched to the vicinity of 87 Lake St. for a report of a car hitting a pole and the driver was taken to Salem Hospital. The vehicle was towed and the Peabody Municipal Light Plant was notified as the pole appeared to have broken in half.

At 5:20 a.m., an ambulance was dispatched to Choice Fitness Elite, 194 Newbury St, to pick up a 64-year-old man who was injured when weights he was lifting fell on his chest. The man, who was conscious but collapsed, was taken to Salem Hospital.

Police responded to Fairview Avenue at 6:23 a.m. after a caller reported that his and his son’s cars had been ransacked, but nothing appeared to have been stolen. He said other cars along the street were unlocked and also disturbed. When the officer arrived and spoke with the caller, he reported that two vehicles had been broken into, but there was no forced entry and nothing was stolen.

Thursday

At 7:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to Hunt Nursing Home & Rehab, 90 Lindall St., for a patient-on-patient assault.

Police were dispatched to Kirkbride Drive at 10:15 p.m. due to a loud party that was disturbing the peace.

At 10:35 p.m. an officer was dispatched to Collins Street to restore order and tow the car.

Thursday

Police and ambulances were dispatched to an address on Maple Street at 12:59am to report a death. Police said the death was under investigation.

At 9:54 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Kaffmandu Coffee House, 8 Maple Street, for a theft after a customer paid for an $8 coffee with an invalid credit card.

The wildlife officer was dispatched to East Coast Road at 11:35am regarding a large snapping turtle.

At 2:14 p.m., a person from Candlewood Suites, 238 Andover St., called police regarding a non-domestic dispute. One person told police they had been verbally abused.

Marblehead

At 2:47 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of Humphrey Street and Winthrop Avenue to investigate a disturbance.

At 5:10 p.m. an officer was dispatched to Whittier Road to investigate a complaint about a leaf blower.
