Police officer succumbs to injuries in motorcycle accident

SINDHULI, June 10: Deputy Commissioner of Police Surya Kumar Shrestha, who was critically injured in a motorcycle accident in Jhagarebesi, Phikkal Rural Municipality-5, Sindhuli on Sunday, died on Monday.

On Sunday, during his regular patrol duty, he suffered an accident with the motorcycle (Pra 3-02-001 Ba 479) he was riding because he lost control of his motorcycle.

Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police (ASI) Rabindra Kumar Thakur, a resident of Kamala Municipality-9, who was driving the motorcycle, died on Sunday while receiving medical treatment. The pillion rider, Assistant Commissioner of Police Shrestha, a resident of Bhimad Municipality-7, is said to be in critical condition. Police said that unfortunately, he too succumbed to his injuries today while receiving treatment.
