Prosecutor: 22-year-old woman sexually abused in Jersey City

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — A 22-year-old woman was sexually assaulted Sunday morning in Jersey City’s Journal Square neighborhood, prosecutors said.

The Hudson County District Attorney’s Office stated: “During the morning hours, she was approached by an unknown man in a Journal Square neighborhood and got into the white vehicle he was driving. The man drove the victim a short distance to the area of ​​Division and Eighth Streets at approximately 7 a.m., where she reported being sexually assaulted in the vehicle.”

Investigators have identified a suspect, prosecutors said.

The Hudson County District Attorney’s Special Victims Unit is investigating with assistance from the Jersey City Police Department.
