South Philadelphia DJ still suffers nightmares after SEPTA bus attack

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — It was April 6th when local DJ Vienna Enos said she was attacked by a man on a SEPTA bus.

Investigators believe the incident occurred via a cell phone.

“I’m scared, and I don’t like being scared in my own city,” Enos said.

The 29-year-old from South Philadelphia said she has had nightmares every night since the attack.

She says she was wearing headphones and was on a fairly empty bus when her attacker struck.

“I didn’t see the guy or hear him coming. He crept up on me and started grabbing my face and head over and over and slamming them against the bus window,” Enos said.

Enos says it happened around 4 p.m. on a line 12 bus when the man broke her headphones and took her phone.

“He stole an even older Nokia. I had held the battery in place with tape,” Enos said.

She says she was the only one on the bus for a few minutes before the man got off at the corner of 8th and Locust Streets.

“I just wanted to visit my father in the hospital after work. Ideally, as a woman or any other person, you should be able to just switch off and listen to some music on the bus without having to worry about someone attacking you,” Enos said.

The attack left her with jaw injuries and a concussion that left her unable to work for two weeks.

“I don’t want this to happen to anyone else, and I don’t want them to see me and say I got them last time, so let me do it again,” Enos said.

If you recognize the suspect or have information about the incident, call SEPTA Police.
