Mesick man arrested for child sexual abuse – 9&10 News

MESICK – According to the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, Paul Jester, 23, of Mesick, was arrested for aggravated sexual abuse of a child and use of a computer to commit a crime.

Jester was arrested following an investigation that began after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), police said. A search of Jester’s home resulted in the seizure of numerous internet-enabled devices, police reported.

Jester was charged with one count of aggravated child sexual abuse, one count of possession of child sexual abuse material, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime and one count of using a computer to communicate with another person to commit a crime, officials said. Jester was arraigned May 31 in 84th District Court.

The MSP ICAC Task Force was supported by the MSP Canine Team, 7th District ES Team, MSP Cadillac Post, Traverse City Post and the Department of Homeland Security.
