Nina Dobrev shares update after bicycle accident: Life looks a little different lately

“Life has been looking a little different lately,” Nina Dobrev said in an update on her leg injury in a bicycle accident.

The 35-year-old “Vampire Diaries” star shared a series of photos on Instagram showing her lying down with a leg brace and crutches.

She also posted a video of her boyfriend Shaun White, a snowboarder and Olympian, trying to entertain her by dancing around in a white sweatshirt from “The Vampire Diaries” with her character’s name, Elena Gilbert, and the colorful outline of her face embroidered on it.

In response to his dance moves, she is heard laughing and saying, “You’re crazy and I love it,” to which he replies, “I love you, Gilly.”

The couple first sparked dating rumors in March 2020 when the two were photographed riding bikes together in Malibu, California. They later made their romance official on Instagram.

Dobrev’s post also included a photo of her wearing a face mask while resting her leg, a picture of her receiving treatment wrapped in a blanket, and a selfie of her holding crutches.

“Life has been looking a little different lately,” she wrote alongside the post.

“I’m swapping the ‘selfie’ for the ‘leg pic.’ Get ready for leg pics because that’s all I have in my camera roll right now.”

Friends and celebrities who voiced their support included Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul, who commented, “You are a rock star!! I’m so glad you’re resting.”

“I’m sorry you have to rest, but at least you have the best caregiver the planet has to offer.”

Last month, Dobrev revealed she had been in an accident, posting a photo of herself apparently posing on an electric bike, followed by another showing the actress lying in a hospital bed.

She captioned the post, “How it started vs. how it’s going,” and added a hurt emoji.

The Canadian actress became famous for her role as Elena Gilbert in the supernatural drama series “Vampire Diaries,” which ran for eight seasons from 2009 to 2015.
