1 arrest, 24 charges filed during DUI check in Santa Rosa

(KRON) – Santa Rosa Police conducted a DUI stop on Highway 12 and Streamside Drive on Friday.

The check lasted from 8 p.m. to midnight. According to the Santa Rosa police, 1,061 vehicles were checked.


During the check, 24 drivers were arrested for driving without a license and two drivers were arrested for driving with a suspended or revoked license. According to police, none of the drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, although 18 drivers were investigated for driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to police, a driver was arrested for probation violation and drug possession.

Santa Rosa Police remind residents that the purpose of the checkpoints is to “promote public safety by removing suspected drunk drivers from the road.”
