Corruption allegations after “DRAINED” – Investigation uncovers fraud in emergency water repairs

We first told you last November about millions of dollars in emergency water main repair contracts awarded to city employees and their dependents. Former Mayor Sylvester Turner told KPRC 2 that the city’s Office of the Inspector General was investigating.

Now – Mayor Whitmire and Ogg plan to speak about the corruption allegations at a press conference on Friday afternoon, May 31.
